The country style kitchen
/ dining room has been converted from the hay barn and is spacious light
and airy and limewashed in a warm corn colour with flagstone floor and arrowslit
windows. There is an oil-fired stanley, electric hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, belfast sink, refectory table and chairs. There is a large comfortable sofa and superb views across the valley through french doors. |
| The utility room is again spacious with room for outdoor clothes and wellingtons with washing machine and deep freeze, separate toilet and sink. | |
| There is a 'snug' lounge with wood burning stove (wood provided) beautiful oak beams, deep casement windows with wide stone sills, a comfortable and attractive sofa and chairs, colour TV and walls painted in dusky pink. | ![]() |

Up a flight of open
oak stairs to a large master bedroom with a kingsize comfortable double
bed and wonderful,views across the valley towards the Wye. Cedar wood
blinds gently scent the room which has a natural wooden floor with rugs
which enhance the room and its spaciousness. There is a second pretty single bedroom overlooking the common. |
| The bathroom has excellent
separate power shower, a bath, hand basin, toilet and large airing cupboard. Electricity and fuel inclusive. Dogs welcome but to be kept under control with the sheep and cattle. Bed linen provided, except for cot, towels available to overseas guests. Garden furniture with barbecue. Ample parking. |

| The cottage is warm and
comfortable with efficient underfloor oil central heating and has been lovingly
restored to an exceptionally high standard retaining and regaining all the
original features. The roof is of old stone slates and the oak beams have
been exposed. The cottage sits at approximately 1000ft and on a fine day one can see Clee hill, Long Myndd and the Begwyns. The cottage is adjacent on one edge to 130 acres of common with free access and on the other to the owner's farm land of small hedged fields, orchard and woodland that holiday makers can wander over. The approach is through the owners traditional hill farm with sheep, dexter cattle, horse, free range hens, ducks and turkeys. |
