The world’s largest philosophy and music festival returns to Hay-on-Wye for May 2019. The festival is packed with stimulating debates, covering everything from politics and art to philosophy and science. Previous speakers include Green Party leader Natalie Bennett, political theorist Noam Chomsky, and actors Helen Lederer and Sally Phillips, and former Conservative leader Michael Howard. Meanwhile on the music front they've been joined by headliners like Gilles Peterson, Rae Morris, King Charles and Mercury Prize nominees Ghostpoet, C Duncan and ESKA. Next years line-up to be announced soon.
There’ll be more than 200 events that include debates, talks, music, comedy and cabaret performances that will dazzle and amaze until the Midnight Mayhem parties begin. There’ll be plenty of time relax during the day, whether that’s yoga, dining over a Long Table Banquet, or meeting the speakers for a chat over tea and cake – or even an evening wine tasting - at the Open Platform sessions.
